Babies
Newborns are seen here as needed, and infant tongue-tie release is offered. If something about a baby’s mouth is worrying you, call and ask.

Children and adults are both seen here, so one office can look after the whole family. We are accepting new patients: call to schedule a first visit.
Children and adults
Both are patients here, so a family does not have to be split across offices.
Newborns, as needed
Call and ask about a baby's first visit.
Established in 2011
A Winchester, TN practice.
Babies, children, teenagers and adults are all patients here.

Checkups, cleanings and fillings, in the same office as the rest of the family. Early orthodontic evaluations are offered. Myofunctional tooth alignment and airway growth therapy is also available.

The same checkups, cleanings and fillings as adults get. Clear aligners are offered, and sedation is available from age 13.

Cleanings, exams, fillings and gum treatment, and the work that tends to come later: root canals, crowns, bridges, implants and dentures.
Most of what helps happens before the appointment.
Say that it is a first visit, and say so if your child is nervous or has had a bad time at another office. It is the most useful thing the office can know before you arrive.
Tell your child what will happen in plain words: a chair that leans back, a bright light, someone looking at their teeth with a small mirror.
Your history forms are gone over and X-rays are taken, then the doctor goes through the X-rays with you and talks about a plan. The patient information page has what to bring.
A hygienist cleans and polishes the teeth and checks the gums and teeth for early signs of trouble.

Mention any of these when you call.
This was our first visit to Winchester Family Dentistry. The staff, hygienist, and Dentist were wonderful with my 12 yr old. Dr Orr’s bedside manner was amazing with my anxious 12 yr old. His exam was thorough and his answers to her concerns evinced experience and expertise in his field.

If yours is one of them, we are within 25 minutes of you and accepting new patients.
Tell us who the patients are and how old they are, and we will go from there.

A family dentist is a general dentist who sees every age, so a parent, a child and a grandparent can all be patients of one practice. Here that means checkups and cleanings, fillings, gum treatment and oral cancer screening, and the work adults need later, from crowns and bridges to implants and dentures. The general dentistry page goes through the everyday part of it.

Winchester Family Dentistry treats every age in one practice: toddlers, children, teenagers, adults and older adults, with sedation available from 13. If you are deciding where to take your child, call and ask what your child needs.
Yes. Children and adults are both patients here, with one set of records for the family.
Tell the office when you call, and say what happened last time if there was a last time. Sedation is available to patients 13 and over; children younger than 13 are not sedated. The sedation dentistry page covers what is offered for teenagers and adults.
Sedation dentistryClear aligners are offered here. The clear aligners page explains what they involve and what they cannot do, and whether a particular teenager is ready is something to ask at a visit rather than decide from an age. For younger children, early orthodontic evaluations are offered; the myofunctional therapy and early orthodontics page covers them.
